P4’s Autumn topic is Africa. In ABL we have been finding different African countries using directional language and map work. We have looked at the African American artist Alma Woodsey Thomas and recreated  some of her art. The children looked at Fairtrade in Africa and then made chocolate banana splits with Fairtrade products. Finally, we made African houses and looked at the similarities and differences between Kenya and the UK. In Forest School, we made outdoor African houses out of natural materials. In PE, we did some exciting African drumming.
